Wall Ties & Restraints
Masonry walls are constructed of an outer shell, which is a non-load-bearing cladding and must be restrained against lateral loads. The wind loads must also be transferred onto the load-bearing backing structure. Depending on the material used to construct the inner load-bearing wall, suitable restraining ties are used in restraining the outer shell masonry walls on to inner load-bearing walls.
Wall Ties * Brackets can be securely and reliably used to restrain the brickwork walls against horizontal loads. These ties are made out of stainless steel and have high corrosion properties to provide a long-term service life.

Restraint Brackets
Brackets are used to tie back outer shell masonry walls to a load-bearing backing structure.
They are fixed to the substrate using appropriate anchor bolts, such as wall plugs, anchor bolts, or self-drilling screws when attaching to steel.
Brackets are available in stainless steel grade AISI 304 or AISI 316.
Restraint Ties
Brickwork wall ties are used in combination with channels for restraining brickwork walls. The wall ties are inserted anywhere along the channel and pressed into the bearing joint mortar of the work at recommended distances.
The type of wall ties varies according to the corresponding channel type (28/15 or 38/17) and the overall length of the wall tie.
Wall ties can be used to connect brick walls and outer shell brick facing on to reinforced concrete walls.
Restraint Channels
Brickwork wall tie channels and suitable wall ties are used in combination for restraining outer skin brickwork walls, ensuring a durable and reliable connection.
The wall ties can be positioned anywhere along the length of the channel. Fixing is done by inserting the wall ties into the channel slot and then turning them 90 degrees to effectively lock them into place.
Various channel types are available, including cast-in and surface-mounted options.
